Casa Cignano is a completely self-contained ground floor apartment just five minutes drive from the Medieval town of Sansepolcro. The property sits within a small borgo of houses on a typical Tuscan hillside overlooking the valley between Sansepolcro & Anghiari and boasts spectacular views of the Montedoglio lake. The lake has several beaches which is only a ten minute drive from the house.
Bordering isolated farmland and Tuscan forest preserve, the accomodation provides the ideal location for long walks, biking, hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

The apartment is beautifully furnished with authentic local antiques and offers accomodation for a maximum of four people. The property features a wonderful enclosed garden with eating and cooking areas for summer barbecues. Constructed in the 14th century, the property was originally a watch tower and prison.
Just two kilometres away lies the medieval town of Sanselpolcro; birthplace of artist Piero Della Francesca and home of his museum. The new Aboca Erbe Museum is also located in Sanselpocro. Sanselpocro has plenty to offer; churches, shopping, restaurants, and many annual festivals.
Just 35 km to Arezzo, you will find our nearest large town and train station, serving destinations throughout Italy. The large, Umbrian city of Perugia is only 60 km away, and the closest airport, with daily flights to Milan and London. Perugia has many annual festivals, celebrating many things from chocolate to beer. Perugia is also home to a monthly antique market. Florence Airport is 120 km away whilst Bologna Airport is 190 km.

Nov through Mar, low season €420/week (does not include heating) Apr through Oct, high season €550/week, prices are all inclusive. Upon request, a reduced price for an extended stay can be negotiated. A 25% deposit is required upon reservation. Note: Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.
